Miami is a well known hub for art of all paradigms but it particularly became a comfy home to pop graffiti artists over the last decade. Vice city has drawn talent from all over the world to tag up the walls of downtown and the infamous Wynwood. (If you don’t know what Wynwood is, it’s a culture blending perpetual woodstock located in a relatively small pocket of North Downtown Miami.) Ever since, wall graffiti has become a hallmark to this bastion of conservative liberalism and personalities. Just a hike up I-95 North will give you a front row seat to some of the outstanding art on display.

Up the interstate somewhere between Wynwood and Aventura, rising artist Kassx was spotted putting up some cartoon illustrated spoils of capitalist society. With a projector and riser, he burned the midnight paint to complete the mural desired by the resident business owner. He was commissioned by local luxury car rental company, Luxury Miami Car Rentals to tag up the establishment and put the “Miami” in their name for real. When asked the owner described the artist as “The next great artistic mind on the right side of philosophy”.

Kassx has risen from the coastal slums to slap consumable criticisms and homages on topics ranging from the human spirit to socioeconomics. He comes by media of mostly acrylic paints and spray paints and by means of the most nostalgic depths of the unconscious mind.
